Yet what FLOTUS wore to her first visit to India looked perfect for 23rd March( which is Pakistan Day).
Melania was dressed in a white jumpsuit with full sleeves and a ban color by designer Herve Pierre. Around her waist, she was wearing a green banarsi sash (traditional Indian fabric made with silk and gold/silver threads).
Twitterati pointed out the colors and sparked off a debate.

Fashion statement
To cut all the conspiracies short the banarsi sash was actually supposed to be a tribute to India. According to the designer Herve Pierre;
“The sash was cut in an early XX century Indian textile documents I found in Paris through very good friends who are collectors,”

So even the designer might not have realized that banarsi sash is a throwback to pre-partition India.
