Mere Humsafar bid farewell to TV screen last week and also left fans wanting for more of Farhan and Hania together on screen. Fortunately, Mere Humsafar‘s director, Qasim Ali Mureed, has some good news forĀ FarHania fans.
He told Something Haute, “The kind of response Iāve received, itās unbelievable. Theyāve all gone mad, āWe want season two,ā theyāre saying. There are thousands of messages”.
Mureed also revealed that talks about bringing the duo back for another story are underway. However, he did confirm that the new production will not be a Mere HumsafarĀ sequel.
He elaborated:
I hope so. It wonāt be a season two exactly, it could be the same team creating a drama together with an arc that matches Mere Humsafarās, maybe even a character. Iām looking forward to doing another project with Farhan and Hania and why not, Saira Raza could be the writer.
Mureed also clarified, “Of course, a different setup. It wonāt be the second season. Itās in the talks, hasnāt been locked yet. The biggest issue is that people are so busy, itās difficult to match the timelines”.
