Momina Mustehsan Sickened and Scared by Journalist Arshad Sharif’s Murder

“If the intent was to instill terror and fear, the job has been done”.

Singer Momina Mustehsan expressed her disgust and shock after the recent death of Pakistani journalist and anchorman, Arshad Sharif, yesterday.

The Afreen Afreen singer said that she is “sickened and honestly scared by what happened to #ArshadSharifShaheed”.

She tweeted:

It petrifies you to speak up or hold anyone in power accountable, especially those holding offices to serve the public. If the intent was to instill terror and fear, the job has been done. Heart goes out to his family.

Twitterati agreed with her sentiments and some others advised her to not be afraid.

One tweep assured her that Pakistani citizens are no longer afraid.

Senior Pakistani journalist, news anchor, and writer, Arshad Sharif, was allegedly shot dead on 24 October 2022 in Kenya. According to a Kenyan police report, Arshad Sharif was traveling with a man that they claim was his brother, Khurram Ahmed. Sharif died from a gunshot wound to the head. According to the police report, the car was fired at nine times.
