Just days after being released, Ms. Marvel is now the highest-rated Marvel series so far!
While Disney plus works that cashed in on fandoms like the Mandalorian and Wanda Vision had a huge impact, Ms. Marvel is even bigger. Especially given how it was released just days ago.
With just two episodes out thus far, the Disney plus series has a separate tone from the rest of the Marvel Cinematic Universe on Disney plus. In fact, it’s categorized as a comedy.
The series really digs into the complexity of being a first-generation American with immigrant parents. That too from the Muslim community.
Being a young woman in that situation, paired with trying to get through high school makes the story as relatable for people of the same ages as the comic book series was years ago.
That might not be the case for all desis. However, the series really was for multi-cultural desis who have to juggle the differences between the people they are and the person they’re expected to be.
