Acclaimed stage and film actress Nargis has called it quits from the showbiz industry.
She is the third artist after Hamza Ali Abbasi and Rabi Pirzada to have left the industry in recent months.
Whats next for Nargis?
Nargis announced her decision in a statement on Thursday, saying that she would now work for helpless women and children.

“I want to help widows, orphans, and skillful women with financial assistance and training.”
The ‘Choorian’ actress also vowed to work on women’s education and requested parents to not hesitate in educating their daughters.
“I request all the parents to educate their daughters so that they can stand in the society.”

She added that it was her final decision to leave the industry and that she was content with her life.
In a career spanning 1993 to 2018, Nargis has featured in numerous stage dramas and over a hundred Urdu and Punjabi films. She was the highest-paid stage actress in the country in 2016.
