When Naseeruddin Shah bashed Anupam Kher for his radical racial views, people brought up how being ‘the lesser of two evils’ doesn’t make the Dirty Picture actor any better.
But first a little background. Recently, Naseeruddin Shah bashed Anupam Kher for being vocal on Twitter, calling him ‘ a clown.’
“Any number of his contemporaries from NSD and FTI can attest to his sycophantic nature. It’s in his blood, he can’t help it.”

Shah’s comments relate to how Kher usually behaves like a bigot over social media, and gets lampooned for it. Anupam has made no secret of his disdain for the Muslim community in Modi’s India.
At the same time, Shah also called out netizens for bashing the Bend it Like Beckham actor. Hence why Twitteratti are calling out his hypocrisy.
“The others who are opposing it should really decide ‘what they want to say’, and don’t remind us of our responsibilities. We know our responsibilities.”

That’s when people brought up how his hypocrisy does not end there. This is the same man who is bashing Anupam Kher for his racial views, when he too bashed Muslims in an op-ed for Hindustan Times not too long ago.
That op-ed from the veteran actor blamed Muslims for being responsible for their own persecution in India. Here’s an excerpt from it:
“It seems essential for Muslims in India to get over the feeling of victimisation they are in now; it is a trap all too easy to stumble into – we must determine to stop feeling persecuted, all evidence to the contrary notwithstanding”
Shah even blamed Islam for everything.
“Richard Dawkin‘s statement that religion has ‘nothing whatever to do with goodness‘ does not need any verification when one looks at what’s happening everywhere in the name of religion.”

Twitterati even called out the Najayaz actor on the ‘decide what you want to say’ comment. Another reason why they’re calling him a hypocrite.

Waste of time in reading and reacting to such fools like Ravi(who is he by the way)but there is need to respond to this kind of urban naxal mentality to show that India has much more to offer than these sadistic pseudo secularist, anti national fools…

You know what they say. Sooner or later, your own comments can come back to haunt you when you least expect it. Naseeruddin Shah is better off reevaluating his past biases first before pointing fingers at committed bhakhts like Kher.
