At first, PSG announced that they would be releasing the names of the players carrying the deadly disease. However, a media outlet L’Équipe as well as ESPN confirmed that the players in question were Angel Di Maria, Leo Paredes and the Brazilian star Neymar.

According to reports, the 28-year-old Brazilian, along with his teammates, were taking a vacation on a yacht in Ibiza following their defeat to Bayern Munich in the UEFA Champions League final.

PSG officials issued a statement that the infected players did undergo an appropriate health protocol and other players as well as the staff will continue to be tested for the next few days.

Fans are arguing the lack of precaution and carelessness for the Brazilian to be taking such vacation when the deadly pandemic is still looming.

This is not the first time Neymar has been called out for being careless as fans criticized him last month for swapping jerseys with Leipzig’s Marcel Halstenberg. It remains to be seen if there are any other new cases of COVID-19.
