Pakistani Celebs Raise Their Voice on Indian Brutality in Kashmir

Pakistani artists are raising their voices at the cruelty being meted out to Kashmiris.

Indian brutality in Kashmir

With the recent increase in ceasefire violations on the Line of Control (LoC) and Indian Armed Forces’ brutality in Kashmir, Pakistanis are understandably outraged and devastated. Recently Indian Home Minister Amit Shah revoked Article 35 A and Article 370 of the Indian constitution that recognized the special status of Kashmir, leading many to believe that a move is afoot to change the region’s demography.

India has also deployed thousands of more troops in Kashmir, and arrested all major leaders there. This will only add to the pre-exisiting human rights violations committed by the world’s largest democracy.

Amid all this, Pakistani celebs have been particularly vocal. Actors like Shaan Shahid are always at the forefront of such trends. Artists using their platform for political awareness is appreciated when its done for peace.
