A Palestinian woman wore her bridal outfit to welcome her husband back home. Majid Berber had been released after spending 20 years in Israeli prison. For Fatima, it’s enough that her husband is finally home.
Independent Urdu reports, Majid had been detained on accusations of incitement against Israel back on March 30, 2001. At the time his daughter was just fifteen days old and his son was four years old.

The young couple was torn apart after Israeli settlements forced Palestinian families apart. Yet, this Palestinian woman didn’t let that cast a shadow on her happiness.
Their reunion was a tear-jerker as Fatima Berber dressed up as a bride to welcome her husband back home. Majid talked about how his wife is his home.

Even the festivities were nothing short of a wedding after-party.

Jinan Samara and Abdel Karim Mukhader tied the knot after Jinan waited for him for 18 years. Abdel had been taken by Israeli soldiers.

Arab News reported that Jinan visited Abdel while he was in prison and even helped him with his studies. He gained a master’s degree in Israeli studies, through Al-Quds University during his imprisonment.
Following his release, he planned on obtaining a doctorate in political economy, before fighting for the freedom of former prison colleagues.
