The Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle just had a royal baby boy, and Prince Harry is calling it ‘the most amazing experience’.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s Instagram account, ‘Sussex Royal‘ announced that it was a boy.

We are pleased to announce that Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Sussex welcomed their firstborn child in the early morning on May 6th, 2019. Their Royal Highnesses’ son weighs 7lbs. 3oz. The Duchess and baby are both healthy and well, and the couple thank members of the public for their shared excitement and support during this very special time in their lives. More details will be shared in the forthcoming days.

The Suits actress went into labor in the early hours of Monday morning, with Prince Harry by her side.

Meghan finally gave birth to the royal baby at 5:26 am on Monday. Her baby boy was born at a healthy weight of seven pounds and three ounces.

Prince Harry and Fatherhood

The Duke of Sussex could barely contain his excitement as he personally announced the safe arrival of his firstborn child. Prince Harry is really ecstatic about becoming a father. He’s calling the experience ‘amazing, absolutely incredible’.

He even said his son has brought him a joy ‘to-die-for‘. Prince Harry says he and his wife Meghan Markle are “just over the moon” in their first few hours of parenthood.

This afternoon, His Royal Highness The Duke of Sussex shared the news of the arrival of his and the Duchess’ first born child. Their son was born early morning on the 6th of May, 2019 and weighs 7lbs and 3oz. Their Royal Highnesses thank you for your support and kindness during this exceptionally joyful time in their lives as they welcome their baby boy.

Prince Harry announced that both ‘mother and baby are doing incredibly well’.

“I’m so incredibly proud of my wife.”

The once rebel Prince changed after he met Meghan Markle, but fatherhood had him overflowing with emotion.

“How any woman does what they do is beyond comprehension, but we’re both absolutely thrilled and so grateful to all the love and support from everybody out there. It’s been amazing, so we just wanted to share this with everybody.”

New Tradition

The Daily Mail reports that the royal baby was born at The Portland hospital in London. However, it is not yet confirmed that this was the venue where Meghan gave birth.

There are reports the Sussexes’ firstborn was delivered at the sanctuary of Frogmore Cottage (their home on the Windsor Estate).

A spokeswoman for the hospital didn’t let the cat out the bag either.

“We are unable to confirm speculation about individuals who may or may not have been cared for at The Portland Hospital.”

Meghan did things differently as she did with the pregnancy. Meghan’s mother and now proud grandmother Doria Ragland accompanied the couple before the couple authorized Buckingham Palace to share the news.

After all, this is the first royal baby that is British-American and biracial.
