She highlighted the plight of women in Pakistan due to this lack of persecution.

“I don’t understand who I should be congratulating on Independence Day? The rapist that roam free because they have freedom, when women in Pakistan can’t work in offices, leave the house without someone, can’t leave the house after a certain hour, can’t travel on the highway with their family. To the point where not even a celebrity can wear what she wants let alone regular women.”

She then lamented how despite the freedom we have on social media we use it so adversely. The Jo Tu Chahay actress then asked that we try and be better this time around.

“Why don’t we try to make a difference this time? What we can do is be kind, do charity. Even if we want to say something bad, refrain from doing so. So many people are killed because of social media, so many people suffer through depression. So please make sure to use social media in a manner that doesn’t hurt anyone. I have been through it, and I know how difficult it can be.”

It seems the Tanaa Banaa actress might be referring to the Hum Style Awards in July 2021 when she was bashed and trolled for her clothing choices.
