Shahid Afridi promptly shared the video on his Instagram, accompanied by a caption that highlighted the unifying power of sports. He expressed how his recent travels for various engagements, including the Global T20 Canada and the US Masters T10, had taken him away from Pakistan for around 40 days.
Despite the distance, Afridi emphasized the way in which sports, particularly cricket, bridge gaps between people and foster connections. Afridi wrote,
Have been on the road between Canada for Global T20 Canada and USA for US Masters T10 and multiple charity events for the Shahid Afridi Foundation past 40 days and I miss Pakistan. One thing for sure, nothing unites people more than sports esp. cricket, love this game!
Earlier this month, Afridi ran into Bollywood star Suniel Shetty at the airport. Afridi’s presence in the United States was associated with the inaugural season of the US Masters T10 League.
During the tournament, he represented the New York Warriors franchise. Although Afridi and his team managed to reach the final, they emerged as runners-up, with The Texas Chargers securing victory in an intense final that even required a Super Over.
