Ever since Sham Idrees and Froggy were ‘nikahfied‘ on December 31st, people knew a desi wedding was coming.
Unlike the usual ‘on again off again‘ phase they had before the nikah, things were smooth sailing since then.
Recently Sham posted two vlogs of his mehndi and ruksati/ wedding reception (or whatever it was). At the end of the last wedding vlog, Sham Idrees said he has a surprise (because some things never change). Now we know what it is (hopefully we’re right).
On the night of July 19th, the couple had a mehndi at home followed by a reception. Monday brought in the news that the Pakistani-Canadian YouTubers probably moved in together.
Sham Idrees and Froggy basically had a Ruksati and reception in one.

Sham Idrees and Froggy Wedding
Traditionally a Ruksati is when the couple is sent off after the nuptials. This is followed by a wedding reception or Valima the next day.
While the mehndi was a desi blast, the rest may not be the desi wedding we’re used to.
We see how Froggy was clad in a white bridal dress (missed the something old and something blue), with Sham in a suit and matching white pocket square.
After a photo-shoot, the bride arrived and everyone went about ‘desi rasms‘ (customs). These customs included ‘dhoodh pilai‘ and ‘joota chupai‘. This was followed by everyone giving speeches about the couple (like at a reception).

Another reception move was the bride and groom’s first dance. The end was an emotional roller coaster for both Froggy and her father.

On the other hand, Sham Idrees ended the vlog with a message about a surprise.
That surprise may have been a compilation of Sham Idrees having a bunch of mostly brown (desi and Arab) YouTubers congratulating him on his wedding. Some white folks also congratulated him such as travel vlogger Drew Binsky and Jay (PreHistoricPets).
Now that Sham Idrees and Froggy are officially done with the wedding festivities, we guess some congratulations are in order.
The duck kofte were amazing!
Congratulations.
