CCTV footage caught the culprit responsible for stabbing Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan in his Bandra home early Thursday morning.
The attacker, who entered the actor’s building in the upscale Bandra West area, was caught on CCTV at 2:33 am in the stairwell. The footage shows the man dressed in a t-shirt and jeans, carrying a backpack and an orange scarf on his shoulder. At one point, he looks directly at the camera.
Details of the Attack

According to Mumbai Police, the attacker scaled a wall to enter the compound next to the building and then used the rear staircase to climb up to the Khans’ apartment. He reportedly gained access to the home through a fire escape.
The first person to spot the intruder was one of the house helps, Eliyama Phillipes, also known as Lima. She screamed, alerting Saif Ali Khan, who confronted the man. A struggle ensued, during which the attacker stabbed the actor six times, causing injuries to his left hand, neck, and spine.
When questioned by the household staff, the attacker allegedly demanded ₹1 crore. Two house helps were also injured in the scuffle.
Saif Ali Khan’s Condition
Saif Ali Khan was rushed to Lilavati Hospital by his son, Ibrahim Ali Khan. Doctors performed emergency surgery to remove a knife lodged in his spine and repair leaking spinal fluid.
The Mumbai Police have registered a case under sections of robbery, trespassing, and grievous hurt caused during house trespass. At least eight teams, including the Crime Branch, have been formed to investigate the case and track down the suspect.
The police are analyzing the CCTV footage and have released the suspect’s description. The man is believed to have planned the attack as part of a robbery attempt.
