On Friday, January 31, a young boy named Umer Farooq Bajwa lost his life after donating his liver to his mother at the Sheikh Zayed Hospital.
Another Life Lost
Sarwat Sultana, the mother was struggling with a liver disease and the doctors had advised a liver transplant to save her life. Umer, who hails from Sargodha, had offered to donate his liver to his mother. However, due to the negligence of the doctors, the young student lost this life last Friday.

Who is Responsible?
This is the third failed liver transplant case at Sheikh Zayed Hospital during the month of January. Apart from Umer Farooq, Riaz Hussain and Naseem Bibi also died after the doctors declared it to be a ‘successful’ surgery.
The hospital has been under fire for their negligence towards patients and it is banned from performing liver transplants in the future.
