A stage actress named Iqra was shot and injured in Lahore’s area of Sabzazar. She says that the attempt on her life is due to a theater owner getting aggravated by her turning down a contract.
24NewsHD TV reported that Iqra left her house located in the Sabzazar area with her brother-in-law (husband’s brother) Samran Shahzad on a motorbike to buy some breakfast. She was shot at during this period.

Police said there were attackers riding two motorcycles that fired at the stage actress. They said the Iqra received a bullet in her leg. The injured stage actress was moved to Jinnah Hospital for treatment.
The stage actress told police that Malik Naseer and his three unidentified accomplices were her attackers. She informed the police that she had a contract with Sanam Theatre owner Malik Naseer. Yet when she decided not to act in his stage drama Malik Naseer began threatening her.
According to police, Malik Naseer successfully fled the scene of the attack. Efforts are underway for his arrest.
