Moroccan hammams or a Moroccan bath treatment is a luxurious spa experience that leaves you with smoother, healthier skin. This one-of-a-kind spa experience is now being offered at Studio M, located in F-8, Islamabad.
What is a Moroccan Spa?
Similar to a Turkish bath, a Moroccan bath is quite popular in the Middle East and Europe. The treatment may vary from spa to spa. However, it usually comprises of a bath/steam followed by exfoliation and sometimes a massage.
While this may be considered a unique experience everywhere else, in Morocco it is a part of their culture. This ritual is followed by many in Morocco as a weekly social activity, where men, women, and even children participate in segregation
Benefits of a Moroccan Bath
Many of you might have heard of the skin-related and beauty benefits of Moroccan baths. However, there’s more to this than meets the eye. A Moroccan hammam can be exactly what you need to relax and rejuvenate at the end of a busy, tiring week.
You can enjoy the following benefits by going for a Moroccan spa treatment:
Buff away dead skin cells
At Studio M, when you go for a Moroccan bath experience, you will first be asked to soak in a bathtub with salts. Followed by the application of the famous Moroccan black soap called “savon beldi” The exfoliation process begins with washing off the black soap and applying “Moroccan henna” all over the body. Then they take a “Kessa Glove” and scrub your whole body down. They then wash away all the dead skin and apply a full-body “Ghassoul Clay” mask to absorb all the toxins. At the same time, a therapist gives a luxurious deep conditioning hair wash and then a cleansing therapy for the face and neck.
By the end of the treatment, the skin will be rid of dead skin cells, it will look fresh, and feel baby soft.
Improved blood circulation
Right from the get-go, the Moroccan bath helps improve your blood circulation. And that gives you a number of health benefits; from cell growth to improved blood pressure, all of this at no additional cost! This is especially beneficial for those who spend long hours being stationary.
Of course, improved blood circulation also means rejuvenated and glowy skin!
