National table tennis player Mehak Anwar lost her battle to cancer today. This reminds us there’s a reason you’re asked not to make promises you can’t keep. They do come back to haunt you.
Recently, the barrister and activist Khadija Siddiqui shared that table tennis player Mehak Anwar died today after battling cancer for a long time.

The Prime Minister Imran Khan had taken notice of her health earlier but Mehak’s family revealed that no one ever followed up.

We understand that the PM is a busy man and cannot personally look into things, but he has the entire bureaucratic machinery at his disposal. Not to mention his cancer hospital Shaukat Khanum.
It pains us that this national treasure Mehak Nawar was not provided the requisite medical treatment.

Mehak Anwar’s father is asking the PM to still keep his promise and facilitate other sports-persons under similar circumstances.

Mehak Anwar, the Table Tennis Star
16-year old Mehak was diagnosed with cancer during mid-2018. At her young age, she represented Sindh in the National Junior Games, and took home the gold medal in the Sindh Games.

Very sad to learn about Mehak’s death. Imran Khan with just a word could have admitted in his the so called Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer hospital and provided her with free cancer treatment but no here too the class of people is considered.Billions of rupees donations are given by the public for the treatment of cancer patients who cannot afford such an expensive treatment which he claims that his hospital provides free treatment. this is not his hospital it is public’s hospital because it has been built by public money and is still being run on donations by the people of Pakistan.We have lost an asset of Pakistan Mehak..
