2019 has been a big year for many Pakistani actors, both young and old. For some it was a chance to showcase their talent with breakout performances in films and series, while others shined in the spotlight due to their social media presence and public activities that connected with fans and followers.
Let’s take a look at some of the actors whose career graph definitely went up this year as they touched a new level of success:
Ali Rehman
Despite his popularity fizzling out after Diyar-e-Dil, Ali Rehman has been lucky enough to be a part of some very interesting projects.
This year, Ali did really well and got a chance to leave a mark when he starred in superhit drama Khaas. Ali Rehman played a very complicated character. Staying true to the character’s persona, Ali Rehman made the viewers hate the character of Ammar and that spoke volumes of his craft as an actor, which the audiences admired. Ali Rehman’s movie Heer Maan Ja also did well and was probably the only 2019 movie which got more or less positive reviews.
Zara Noor Abbas
Zara Noor Abbas is comparatively a new addition to the showbiz industry but has been a part of some good projects. She not only opened the doors to success for herself in 2019 but also ended the year on a high note.
The talented actress got to be a part of two well-made films and received applause for her portrayal of Raani in Ehd e Wafa. This is definitely an iconic character and it is commendable the way Zara Noor Abbas portrayed her. We hope to see what 2020 has in store for this talented young star.
Emmad Irfani
Emmad Irfani is also one of those actors who has been around for some time but has yet to receive proper recognition. Always appearing as a supporting character, this year however, he starred in Cheekh and it definitely turned things around for the model-turned-actor.

Alizeh Shah
Alizeh Shah has been on a roll from the day she joined the showbiz industry. The actress’s drama Jo Tu Chahay, where she is starring opposite Imran Abbas, made a lot of buzz.
Another mega project for her is Ehd e Wafa, which has done wonders for the young star’s career. Ehd e Wafa is being widely followed by the masses and it is an achievement for her. She also starred in Mahira Khan’s movie Superstar. Fans of Alizeh are excited for what’s in store for them in 2020.
Muneeb Butt

Yumna Zaidi
Yumna Zaidi is one of the finest actors in the drama industry. She has been a part of this industry for a while now but unfortunately she has been underrated more often than not.
Despite giving phenomenal performances in every role she has taken, Yumna barely gets the recognition she deserves for her work and talent. 2019 definitely was her year where she earned a huge amount of appreciation for her drama Inkaar. Now she is showcasing her talent in Ishq Zahe Naseeb as one of the most complex characters we have ever seen in dramas in a long time and the way she has portrayed it is brilliant. We hope she gets more complex and big roles in future projects.
Imran Ashraf
Imran Ashraf is an ace actor who always gives his 100% in every role. Usually, Imran is cast as a supporting character, however, 2019 was the year he finally got his big break. The talented actor got to carry a drama on his shoulders and he not only succeeded in doing so, he left the entire industry and viewers awestruck with his performance.
Ranjha Ranjha Kardi has given Imran Ashraf a new level of success. Bhola was an iconic character and only Imran Ashraf could do justice to it. After this drama, fans expect to see big roles for him in the future.
Hira Mani

Ayeza Khan
Finally we conclude the list with an actress who definitely made an impact in 2019. Ayeza Khan is a well-established actress, who has delivered countless award-worthy performances over the years.In the beginning of 2019, her drama Koi Chand Rakh did really well in terms of ratings and viewers enjoyed seeing her playing a role of a selfless but strong-willed individual.
However, before 2019 ended, it gave Ayeza the best project of her career till date and she has been able to prove that she can definitely portray difficult and complicated characters with finesse. Mere Pass Tum Ho’s popularity is exemplary and Ayeza’s portrayal of Mehwish has to be the best acting that she has done in her career. While fans can cheer and applaud Humayun Saeed’s Danish, it takes tremendous skill to create such a complex and polarizing character that fans are not sure whether to sympathize with or hate. Ayeza proved her skill by bringing such depth to the character of Mehwish.
