There is no shortage of talent in Pakistan. Unfortunately, people don’t get the right opportunities to showcase their talent. Lets take one of the most poorest and lawless neighborhoods of Karachi for instance. Lyari has produced talented footballers and singers, yet a lack of resources have held its inhabitants back from achieving their true potential.
One such talent is the eight year old rapper from Lyari who is making waves with his sick rhyming skills. Eight year old Waqas Baloch, who goes also by the name of “Thou$sand”, has stunned everyone with his deadpan rapping skills.

Waqas Baloch is a Singing Sensation
Waqas Baloch considers his elder brother Asif Balli as his idol and has learned quite a lot from him.
“I have learned a lot from my brother. I listen to the beat and then write on it,” Waqas Baloch said during an interview with a local media outlet.
Waqas has been practicing how to rap since he was five. That’s why his elder brother Asif Balli decided to include him in his band.

“I decided to include my little brother in the band because I saw his potential. Waqas is a quick learner and he has even skipped two classes in school to learn rap,” Asif stated.
As we mentioned earlier, there’s a lack of resources for such talented people. Asif Balli says that sometimes they don’t get paid for months.
The two young rappers are fans of Bohemia and often listen to his rap songs.
Waqas Baloch recently recorded his rap song KAKY, which has garnered over eight thousand views on YouTube.

We think such young talent should be nurtured. We can only hope that some Good Samaritan takes notice of this budding rapper in the making. Perhaps one day he might perform live with Eminem. Never say never!
