This Story of a Careem Captain ‘Running Away’ With Biryani is the Most Karachi Thing Ever

Never change Karachi.

Who doesn’t love biryani? But it looks like one citizen and a Careem captain took this love for biryani to a whole another level.

Love at First Sight?

George Bernard Shaw’s quote “there is no sincerer love than the love of food” fits perfectly in this situation. Or should we say biryani?

Our story begins with a tweet:

“Hey @careempak! Your captain ran away with the biryani I made for my fiancé. He’s not answering any of my calls either.”

This netizen shared the epic adventure of his biryani. He didn’t just sit back and let the captain steal his precious biryani. He fought for it and reported the theft right away.

Apparently, what happened was that he called the Careem delivery service to deliver it to his fiance. Little did he know, he won’t be able to contact the driver once he gave the parcel to him, from that moment on.

Turns out, the driver didn’t run away with the biryani. He just couldn’t contact the customer due to the mobile jammers installed on Jail Chowrangi. Thankfully, the biryani met its rightful owner after such a tiresome journey. That was tough alright!

The matter was resolved quickly and Careem apologized for the inconvenience.

A happy ending for all, isn’t it? *And the biryani lived happily ever after*

Moral of the story: You need people who will fight for you and your biryani. Biryani is important after all.
