This was PTV at its finest. Khuda Ki Basti is a masterpiece in storytelling that was aired all the way back in 1969. The drama was written by Shaukat Siddiqui and directed by Rashid Dar.

Khuda Ki Basti is a story of a slum and the people who live there and their struggles to survive and improve their lives.

  1. The original play of Khuda ki Basti was not recorded so it was remade in 1973.
    The picture given above shows Zafar Masood, who played Nosha in the original play. When it was remade Zafar Madood had grown up and the character was played by Behroze Sabzwari.

    PTV dramas used to run for reasonable time and had multiple storylines linked with each other. Nowadays dramas have single storyline with significantly extended number of episodes which makes them unattractive and unbearable.
