Turkey is pretty famous for its hospitality but even more so if you’re Pakistani. Zara Hut Kay co-presenter Zarrar Khuhro shared his experience with his recent run-in with Turkish police and it’s not what you expected.
This led to plenty of other people coming forth with their stories too.
Zarrar Khuhro shared his funny story about a run-in with the Turkish police on route to Bodrum from Bodrum airport.
I have a funny story re Turkish police/ military. On route to bodrum from Bodrum airport I was stopped at a military checkpost where they asked to see our passports. Then they go 'you are Pakistani" and I say "yes" and they ask me to get out of the car. 12 soldiers line up and go https://t.co/QHQDqQYZly

He shared how things took a turn when they saw his Pakistani passport. They started singing… and not just any Turkish song no. The Zara Hut Kay presenter was taken aback when these Turkish policemen started to sing “Jeevay Pakistan“.
"bir, iki, üç" (one, two, three) and they all start singing 'Jeevay Pakistan'. It blew my mind. Then we had tea and they sent us on our way. Can never forget that!

There’s another reason to love Turkey. (if the food alone wasn’t enough!)

Netizens shared there own experiences of run-ins with Turkish law enforcement sharing the love.
Couldn’t agree more & was expecting exactly same. I visited Turkey thrice and once we lost a way, after knowing we were from Pakistan, police van escorted us to their Check Post, served tea, stopped the vehicle and made sure we catch the right bus.#PakistanTurkeyZindabad 🇵🇰 🇹🇷

Someone shared how ‘once upon a time’ in Jordan he received the same warmth.
I don't know about now but in 2001 in Jordan I got similar treatment when I didn't notice the traffic light turned red and I crossed

Turks really do take their friendship with Pakistan to a whole new level. Just ask “Ayyildiz Tim Turkish Cyber Army”.
On the other hand, it’s important that when Turks come to Pakistan they receive the same love and warmth that Pakistanis experienced in Turkey.
It’s only fair that we do our part to keep this friendship and love going strong.
