Renowned singer Jawad Ahmad and four of his accomplices have been booked by the police for allegedly attacking a team from the Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO) during a raid at a beauty salon owned by his wife.
The incident, which involved allegations of electricity theft, physical assault, and obstruction of official duties, has sparked widespread attention after a video of the altercation went viral on social media.
According to the First Information Report (FIR) registered by the police in Nawab Town, the LESCO team was conducting routine checks in the area when they discovered irregularities in the electricity meter installed at the beauty salon owned by Jawad Ahmad’s wife.
As the LESCO team began their inspection, the salon owner reportedly called her husband, Jawad Ahmad, who arrived at the scene with four associates in a black Vigo. The FIR states that upon arrival, Jawad Ahmad snatched the electricity meter from a LESCO staff member, Shahid Khan, and handed it over to one of his colleagues, identified as Adeel. Adeel then fled the scene with the meter.
The situation escalated further when the singer and his accomplices allegedly assaulted the LESCO officials, injuring several of them. The injured staff members were later taken to a local hospital for treatment.
The incident has sparked mixed reactions on social media, with many condemning the alleged actions of Jawad Ahmad and his associates. Some have called for strict action against the singer, while others have urged for a fair investigation to uncover the truth.
