UrduFlix is Gearing Up to Be Pakistan’s First Digital Video Platform

There’s been a lot of talk about introducing an in-house digital streaming platform in Pakistan. Emax Media has really thought it through, deciding they’re going to help Pakistan create its own Urdu OTT platform with UrduFlix.

Internationally acclaimed digital network, Emax Media announced that they would help create and launch Pakistan’s first Urdu OTT platform UrduFlix.

UrduFlix will offer a range of original and exclusive Urdu content worldwide. This Urdu OTT platform will feature access to Urdu films, series, documentaries, cartoons, and Urdu-dubbed Turkish dramas.

This will include beloved dramas and films as well as more contemporary original works.

Founder of UrduFlix, Farhan Ghauhar told OyeYeah, how he’s excited about giving Urdu content a global audience with this platform.

“We are excited to announce the launch of Pakistan’s first Urdu OTT platform that will have a recognizable connection to our unique entertainment offerings. With the on-demand streaming culture on the rise around the world, we want to play our part in putting Pakistan and Pakistani content on the global market as well, and compete with international players.”

 

The Urdu OTT platform is officially expected to launch in mid-January 2021.

Previously, Malaya United Films and Entertainment Pvt Ltd (Pakistan) teamed up to create Pakistan’s first digital entertainment portal. Malaya United Films tweeted about the news about ‘Mr. Mufe‘ a few months ago.

Mr. Mufe will offer drama series, cooking shows, health shows, telefilms, children’s programs, sports shows, and much more G-rated content.

Although Emax Media or Farhan Gauhar didn’t say anything on the matter, perhaps Urduflix will have a broader range of content, for adult audiences.
