As the trailer of the telefilm Aik Hai Nigar is out, people aren’t holding back saying they don’t like Mahira Khan in the lead role as Lieutenant General Nigar Johar.
While everyone was initially excited to see Mahira Khan in the biopic of Lieutenant General Nigar Johar, the trailer changed that. It seems fans were ecstatic about seeing Mahira Khan return to the screen. However, watching the trailer made them realize she looks nothing like the protagonist.
Netizens are very specifically suggesting they’d prefer Areeba Habib to essay the role. The similarity between the Areeba Habib and Nigar Johar would have made it even better. From their heart-shaped faces to their slender noses.
The cast for a biopic is chosen to resemble the real characters as much as possible. Netizens are questioning why Mahira Khan was cast when she doesn’t resemble the central character at all.
It is pertinent to mention that Aik Hai Nigar is produced by Mahira Khan and Nia Kashif’s production venture, Soulfry Films. Umera Ahmed penned the script while Adnan Sarwar directed the telefilm.
The rest of the Aik Hai Nigar cast includes Sohail Sameer, Bilal Ashraf, and Khushal Khan. We’ll have to watch the telefilm to see if they were well cast in their roles or not.
Aik Hai Nigar will be aired on ARY Digital. The telefilm will also be posted on ARY Digital and Inter-Service Public Relations (ISPR) YouTube channel.
