When does a comedy gag start getting old? One particular gag that’s still being used in Pakistani shows and movies is having a male actor dress up as a woman for laughs. While it was funny at first, now the practice of crossdressing just seems outdated.

Many actors have not commented on this issue until now. The actor in question is a man who actually played this kind of a cross-dressing role in various films, recently in Jawani Phir Nahi Ani 2. We’re, of course, talking about Ahmed Ali Butt.

So why now?

That’s not all. During the filming of the movie, Ahmed Ali Butt talked to a local publication and said he was ‘absolutely up for it’ when writer Vasay Chaudhry informed him, and how he had always wanted to do such work.
