Will ‘Mere Pass Tum Ho’ End in Tragedy?

The last episode airs this weekend, and we have some thoughts.

Mere-Pass-Tum-Ho

With Mere Pass Tum Ho coming to an end, fans are expecting the worst. Writer Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar always wraps up his dramas with tragic endings, and that’s why fans are dreading that this serial will have the same fate.

Mere Pass Tum Ho has garnered quite a fan base over the past few months. From Ayeza Khan’s ‘Anna Karenina-esque‘ character to Saveera Nadeem’s entry, each development had audiences further hooked.

Now that the drama serial is coming to an end, people are expecting a traditional Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar ending. Yet there is still a fraction of the public who think the ending will be different this time around.

Here are a few foretold endings to Mere Pas Tum Ho;

  • Danish (Humayun Saeed) and his ex-wife Mehwish (Ayeza Khan) reunite. Mehwish is remorseful and Danish forgives her like the unconditionally loving person he’s been painted out to be. This is a win for their adorable son, Roomi.
  • Danish might just marry Hania (Hira Mani) upon Roomi’s insistence as the child has a special attachment to his teacher. Hania ends up being ‘step-mom of the millennium’.
  • To tie up loose ends someone might die. Choices range from Mehwish, Shahwar, Danish or someone else.

MPTH Ending Theories

It’s argued that the change in Danish’s luck is gradually building up towards a happy ending. Since most people love happy endings, maybe this is just wishful thinking.

Yet before Khalil Ur Rehman became known for his obsession with tragic endings, with Pyarey Afzal and Sadqay Tumhare, Landa Bazaar had an ending we could settle with.

Not exactly happy but a bittersweet and balanced ending. So it might not be unreasonable to hope that KRQ has penned down a happy ending for this one.

According to HIP, the writer has spoken and he’s sticking to his usual endings. Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar reveals that he was pained by the ending he wrote to Mere Pass Tum Ho.

He has already seen the last episode, directed by Nadeem Baig.

“I am saying all this just for men because women’s hearts are stronger than men. The people who will watch the episode will feel the same pain that was faced by the unlucky husband.”

Guess we will find out soon enough.
