As the record-breaking drama serial ‘Mera Paas Tum Ho’ is nearing its end, a new wave of revelations has taken the media by storm.
The serial is currently the talk of the town with everyone discussing either its OST, characters, or future happenings.
Just recently MPTH writer Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar, spoke to a showbiz website and revealed that one of the characters in ‘Mere Paas Tum Ho’ is based on him.

“I wrote the character of Roomi with an actor in mind. And that actor was Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar. That kid is actually playing me in the serial, and I am disclosing this today. He is essaying my childhood. I was a kid who used to say such big things that it used to shock people around me.”
Appreciating the child actor, Shees Sajjad’s (Roomi) acting, Qamar said he was thrilled with the kid’s performance.

“Shees has done a fantastic job. A lot of credit goes to him and his father, who gave us such a gift! And a lot of credit goes to Nadeem, that he was able to get such work out of the child artist. I mean, it’s just wow; it was amazing how he did it. I was worried because this play wasn’t possible without that child. We really needed a performer!”
Responding to a question on Ayeza Khan’s performance in the negative role (Mehwish), KRQ said he and Nadeem Baig trusted her more than she did.

“Initially, she was reluctant to play the role, fearing that people will hate and bash her. However, I reassured her that every hateful comment against Mehwish would actually be applause for your acting skills, and she really did justice with the character.”
Qamar noted that the drama was closing to its end on the screen, but it will always remain in the hearts of viewers.
