Yasir Hussain is Proud of Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy for Promoting Positive Image of Pakistan

He believes that women in Pakistan need to be given more opportunities to grow and excel.

Actor Yasir Hussain praised two-time Oscar-winning filmmaker, Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy, on his Instagram account on Friday for promoting a good image of Pakistan with her work in Hollywood.

He said that he is proud of her and gushed about her Oscar and Emmy-winning accomplishments. He added that Chinoy is living proof of successful women from Pakistan.

The Badshah Begum actor asked his fans to broaden their minds and remarked that women in Pakistan need to be given more opportunities to grow and excel.

He wrote:

I am proud of Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy. A Pakistani woman winning an award promotes a positive image of Pakistan because it shows that Oscar-winning daughters are born in Pakistan. In our country, even a bad woman is better than a good man. This is a man’s society. We have to change the way we think. Forgetting the services of Fatima Jinnah is an injustice.
