Diriliş: Ertuğrul has seen a massive fan base in Pakistan. But with popularity comes criticism as well. For the past few days Pakistani celebrities have been voicing their thoughts on whether PTV should air it or not. Like others, Yasir Hussain also shared his opinion and was of the view that the government should ban it. According to him, Turkish dramas are putting Pakistani dramas and actors at risk.
Here’s how he started the whole debate:
He received a lot of criticism for his remarks and many Pakistani actors supported PTV’s decision to continue airing it and suggested improving our local content.

But it seems that Yasir Hussain can’t see the problem here. He again took to his Instagram to respond to his colleagues.
“Can the actors who are saying we should improve our content improve the content when they go on the set? It is not our job to improve the content.”
Well, to put it simply, actors are equally responsible for this. Aren’t they the ones who get to decide whether to take on a project or not? They are a huge part of the drama industry and no drama can ever be produced if there is no one to act in it.
Actors like Yasir need to understand that stereotypical and recycled content has a short shelf life. If they are to up their game, the Pakistani showbiz industry needs to invest in better scripts, production qualities, and storylines that are a sign of the times.
Besides, Yasir himself is a screenwriter. Instead of panicking about Turkish dramas taking over Pakistani dramas, Yasir Hussain should be writing content that makes people think and stay entertained.

Ertugural is an Islamic Historic and an epic drama, based on certain facts and inspired by our common history. Something to look up to and reinvigorate that lost glory and ambition we once had.
If Pakistani actors and playwrights had this ability, the Prime Minister would never have suggested it. Pakistani artists and writers can produce only dramas in which divorce or family type fight.
Signs of ignorance and attitude will get you no where ertrugrul was so needed for pakistan viewers it has a look into the basis of how islam started, showing it wasnt easy nor a joking matter so take pride in the fact that this show is aired because its well needed in Pakistan after all lifes not only about jokes so step back respect and enjoy!

Dramas bht important role play krty hain,, is lye Pakistan me pyar muhabbat k dramo se nkl kr kuch historical aur Islamic content ko include krna joga..
