Internet sensation IShowSpeed released his song, World Cup, on YouTube ahead of the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar last week. Surprisingly, the song has become a viral hit that gained over 12 million views in six days.
The music video has already surpassed one of the official FIFA World Cup anthems by beer brand Budweiser and hip hop artist Lil Baby’s The World is Yours to Take, and is just a few thousand views away from overtaking Light The Sky by international artists Manal, RedOne, Balqees, Rahma Riad, and Nora Fatehi.
The viral song featured IShowSpeed rapping about his football idol, Cristiano Ronaldo, while dissing Argentina’s Lionel Messi. In his typical fashion, the young YouTuber mispronounces almost every other country’s name like Croatia as “Crowtier,” Costa Rica as “Costa Rico,” and Tunisia as “Soonizer”.
In the final part of the song, IShowSpeed predicts that Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi will be in the final, with Portugal to win the World Cup.

Even English football legend, Rio Ferdinand, was impressed by IShowSpeed’s new song. The former Manchester United star had a Facetime call with Speed while reacting to his song.

Who is IShowSpeed?
Darren Watkins Jr. (aka IShowSpeed) is one of the biggest content creators on YouTube. The youngster is very popular among the online football community, especially in the e-sports section. Speed often livestreams and makes hilarious EA Sports FIFA game play-along videos.
The American YouTuber has more than 12 million subscribers and is famous for his over-the-top reactions and for hilariously mispronouncing international players’ names.
IShowSpeed also enjoys playing football in real life. Earlier this year, he was part of the YouTube AllStars team alongside another YouTuber MrBeast as they took on British YouTubers, the SIDEMEN, in a charity match at the Valley Stadium in London.

In my opinion, I think its 100% better because it just feels more catchy to me. I like the vibe of the song. The lyrics are simple other than speed dissing Messi. I feel like this is a song that can be played in the stadiums. It even hypes me up even listening to this song.
