The modern world has become busier than ever. We rush through our daily chores and the lack of a peaceful mindset has led to various problems in our society.
For Muslims, it should be our top priority to offer Namaz regularly. However, our current lifestyle sometimes gets in the way and stops us from performing our duty.
Actor Zahid Ahmed addressed this issue in his recent YouTube video and also shared some helpful tips that he used to follow when he started praying regularly.
He first addressed the criticism that would follow once the video goes online.
“First of all I’d like to answer the potential hate spewing comments that can go like ‘So now this actor will teach us how to be regular in Namaz?’ I’d like to say that it doesn’t matter if I’m an actor, or a peon, a doctor, a janitor or a cook. Because when it comes to our religion, the most beautiful part of it is to get closer to Allah. And that’s where you see a general, politician and a gardener standing side by side in a line of prayer.”

In this world of chaos, we need tranquility to perform Namaz and for that Zahid suggested praying with sincerity and calm. If you rush through it, you’ll be at loss.
He also talked about the general questions and assumptions regarding Namaz, specially ‘pray for sawaab’. Zahid said that besides that, you should first learn to make an understanding of what you are saying, i.e. translate it calmly.
“One thing which helped me a lot was if you look at the translation of Surah Al-Fatiha it says, ‘God guide me towards the right path.’ And that’s how I started to make peace with my religion and God.”
“If you want to offer Namaz, he will give you the power to do so. There must be sincerity in your heart but the strings are in the control of Allah… We need to ask Him to guide us towards the right path”
