Pakistan International Screen Awards (PISA 2020) have been under fire for their empty commitment made to celebrities and the use of their name for marketing. To add to that, not everyone informed of a win were awarded the prize as Zara Noor Abbas tells it.
“My heartiest apologies to everyone who was not there last night and felt disappointed and disrespected for their names being used and commitments not fulfilled.”

The Ehd-e-Wafa actress opened up about how she was informed about her win beforehand. Yet due to some ‘uninterrupted and unfortunate’ facotrs, she was not given the award.
“I was told that I am winning an award too but before my category could be announced some uninterrupted and unfortunate event happened.”

The actress thanked all the people that voted for her and offered heartfelt condolences to those offended by the PISA 2020 management.

She then urged everyone to just be more compassionate and supportive. Whether or not you were at PISA 2020, be happy for fellow artists.

She also urged people to stop comparing and picking apart ‘who wore what’.
“And hey, let’s stop comparing to who wore what and how better they wore it. Who showed skin and who showed a personality. Let’s all welcome diversity and differences.”
PISA 2020
The Pakistan International Screen Awards was held in Dubai on February 9th. The award show was slammed by celebrities for poor management. Due to the failure to fulfill their commitments, several celebrities were left deeply offended by the organizers of the event.
