While progressive films like Joyland steal the spotlight on the international front, the film premiere of Sarmad Khoosat’s Kamli was just as inclusive. With known queer artist Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Junior, and trans-activist Dr. Mehrub Moiz Awan in attendance.

Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Jr. and Dr. Mehrub Moiz Awan AKA Shumaila Bhatti were spotted at the Kamli film premiere in Karachi together.

While the heir of Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto’s political dynasty is an artist free of political obstruction, he had for long stayed away from Pakistan due to security concerns.

The wildlife activist seems to have been residing in Karachi since November 2021.
