Jameel Ahmed Memon has become Pakistan’s First ITIL V.3 certified. ITIL is a public framework that describes Best Practice in IT service management. If you are talking about v3 foundation then you people are wrong. This guy is not the first Pakistani to get v3 Foundation as I know alot of others who are v3 Foundation and did that last year. I know the first Pakistani to become v3 Expert. So please correct me if I am wrong.

I am also ITIL V3 certified. Done last year. And I know 3 more who did it in Aug 2008. Therefore Jameel Ahmed Memon is not the 1st in Pakistan to get certified for it. ITIL V3 Foundation is based on the basics and anyone with experience in IT organization who understand the basic operation and function can pass this exam. You just need to study standard definitions and fundamentals according to the five books of ITIL.

Can anyone tell me if you can sit for the ITIL foundation examination without taking the course? Just like CCNA or any other industry certifications? i have heard that you MUST do a training course before sitting for the exam.
Hi All, While browsing the net for some ITIL v3 stuff, I have landed on this page where a claim for some Gentlemen, that he is the first Pakistani to do ITIL V3… As a matter of fact, I have done my V2 in 2004 (ITIL Library can be verified for that), my expert later on and then the transition to V3 in the year 2008. As an authorized tutor, I have delivered a number of courses here in Dubai. Now, I am planning to conduct one course in Islamabad very soon.
I believe it doesn’t matter, who has done first or last, instead, its matter who has understood it better/ who has truly implemented it then.
