Ahmed Kamal has been appointed as Vice President Customer Care at Ufone, told us sources aware of the situation.

Mr. Ahmed Kamal was previously General Manager, Customer Care at Warid Telecom, where he resigned last week.

Warid has confirmed us Mr. Kamal’s resignation. We are told that this resignation was purely the result of career growth and didn’t involve any further issue.

Prior to Mr. Kamal’s responsibilities at Warid, he remained Manager Customer Support at Ufone, at the time of company’s launch. In 2005 he left Ufone and joined Warid. However, he has re-joined Ufone with a lot bigger portfolio.

Mr. Naveed Khalid Butt, who was currently VP Customer Care will be given portfolio of Regulatory and Government Affairs, as mentioned by sources.

Ufone hasn’t confirmed us the appointment of Mr. Ahmed Kamal as VP Customer Care.

As a general perception, Mr. Ahmed Kamal is a strict person, and apparently Ufone’s staff is not comfortable with the situation.
