Ufone Gets New VP, Customer Care

Ahmed Kamal has been appointed as Vice President Customer Care at Ufone, told us sources aware of the situation.

Mr. Ahmed Kamal was previously General Manager, Customer Care at Warid Telecom, where he resigned last week.

Warid has confirmed us Mr. Kamal’s resignation. We are told that this resignation was purely the result of career growth and didn’t involve any further issue.

Prior to Mr. Kamal’s responsibilities at Warid, he remained Manager Customer Support at Ufone, at the time of company’s launch. In 2005 he left Ufone and joined Warid. However, he has re-joined Ufone with a lot bigger portfolio.

Mr. Naveed Khalid Butt, who was currently VP Customer Care will be given portfolio of Regulatory and Government Affairs, as mentioned by sources.

Ufone hasn’t confirmed us the appointment of Mr. Ahmed Kamal as VP Customer Care.

As a general perception, Mr. Ahmed Kamal is a strict person, and apparently Ufone’s staff is not comfortable with the situation.

  • It means this news is not in favor of ufone employees …specially in this jobs crisis time…lol

  • Well ahmed kamal is an old industry guy with old rules and strategies…Ufone should have got a new young blood for this post as ahmed kamal could not proove himself in WARID…

  • So who is running warid now. They have no management at all now. I see all the Rats are leaving. The sinking ship

  • Well Mr. Ahmad Kamal has a proven track record of success and has always been a vital and integral part of the organisations he had worked with and his matchless experience, analytical abilities and experties in CS and commercial divisions has always been appreciated by the telecom indutsry….. I wish him luck for his new role and responsibilities and i hope that he will have to work a lot to set the things right in ufone…

  • I guess he left Warid for a better oppertunity. Most probably better packags.

Between Warid got a new GM customer services as well.

  • I know Mr Ahmad Kamal
He was previously working for Warid
and before the Warid worked as VP HR and customer operations in DVCOM
And earlier he was National Manager Customer Operations in Mobilink
During Mobilink I met with him and found very professional, cooperative but strict to his profession
I wish him Success throughout his life
    Aamin

  • ahmed kamal is firon(pharoh) …he has come to annoy people and take the earnings of people but he should remember that Allah is the most superoir

  • Mr. Ahmed Kamal is very fine professional. he has extensive experience in telecom sector & some extra ordinary analytical and management skills in Customer services and commercial division. He always used to set standards as per industry requirements.
I wish him best of luck for his new assignment.
