Ufone’s network remained down, throughout the country, for several hours. As per reports received from ProPakistani readers from Karachi, Lahore, Kohat, Rawalpindi, Islamabad, Gujrat, Faisalabad and several other cities, they were unable to make or receive any call.
Outage started with slight issues at 4 PM, while signals went completely went down at 6 PM. During outage, no activity on Ufone including voice, SMS, GPRS was possible.
Issues got resolved later in the evening. At 10 PM network was fully live and working.
We couldn’t reach Ufone’s spokesperson during this to take any comment over the situation.
Along with ufone also warid is not again working from 9pm to 2am
Reported in Attock,Kamra,Hazro but i got shocked that half of over dist attock area incldng Jand,pindi ghaib,Fatah Jang is working 100% fine so i think this down time only ocrd in north side of Punjab
and they just won the brand award ……. for what? the crappiest network !!! :-)

SMS was working for me…and so was incoming calls in the evening… all i was not able to do was outgoing calls in islamabad
I think the outage was just for pre-paid customers.
faced problem in both in coming and out going calls.
messaging service was also disturbed.
what happened with ufone.
My signals were completely gone for more than 4 hours. Even I changed cell phone but no signals were appeared. Crap Ufone!
Ufone is the best.That is only because of the two blasts of pindi & lahore that was the reason of the outage of the service i think its because of some security issues or checking some thing by the govt otherwise ufone is the best as u see it won the brand of the year award ufone rocks.
But what about the other Cell Phone Companies didn’t they have security issue? Why only ufone network jammed? They must have poor service and weak signals. I myself use ufone I have noticed their signals are weak mostly inside the house and building. Although we complained a lot on helpline but they don’t resolve issues they just give hope. The only reason people are using ufone is they have 5 FnF and good sms packages. Otherwise network is worse.
Aftab sahab mobilink and warid also face outage in some areas also.And as per ur bad signals r consurned im using ufone for 6 years perminant i have nt such issue like u say.Check it out ur cell phone may be it has some signal problem.Ufone rocks because of its pakages like the new one super ghanta package no one can compete with it.And sms packages r superb also.And chek it out on pro pakistani that it also won the brand of the year award.After all its ournational company and we should encouage it thank u

It’s right the network was down for few hours in the evening till mid night. I got this info from some inside people ;-).
I think this might have happened due to the attacks, or some thing else, don’t know.
