Zong has increased operational fee charges from 1.5 percent to 2 percent plus tax, effective from April 10th, 2012.
A notice appearing on Zong’s website read:
“Dear Customers in order to improve our services from April 10th, Operational fee on all recharges is being increased from 1.5 percent to 2 percent, (Govt taxes apply).”
It merits mentioning here that operational fee will be deducted in addition to 5 percent service charges, 10 percent withholding tax, and 19.5 percent GST imposed by cellular operators and the government.
Earlier, Telenor, Ufone and Mobilink had increased such charges to level at 2 percent.
This is the second time when cellular operators one after another increased their charges with different names. In June 2011, almost all of them had slapped 1.1 percent to 1.5 percent additional charges on customers with different names.
Currently, other than Warid, all operators are deducting 5 percent service charges and 2 percent operational charges on all card/credit reloads.

Zong has not increased the operational fee. This is the latest update.
Zong is the Best, They deserved that .5% increased I will be happy to pay bcoz I`m getting service which I needed (e.g Mobile Internet, Best calling rates for me, best SMS bundles, and last but not least no rubbish stuff in from of SMS like from Ufone :p)

Warid is too charging 5% Admin fee and 1.5% Operational charges.

This is wrong news. No such increment is implemented by ZONG yet. They are planning to do so but no ETA on this at the moment.
