Warid Starts Charging Rs. 1.21 for HelpLine Calls

Following other mobile operators, Warid Telecom has also started charging Rs. 1.21 for calling 321 and talking to customer services representatives.

Warid Telecom could not stop itself from this profit making race which was started by Mobilink and Telenor followed by Zong and Ufone charging their customers Rs. 1.21 for calling helpline.

Now, from Warid Telecom all calls made on 321 would be charged for 50 paisa and if you want to talk to Customer Services Representative you would be charged another 50 paisa which makes it Rs. 1 plus 21 Percent tax.

Interestingly, Warid Telecom did not inform its customers in advance about this price increase, neither by print/electronic advertisements nor the SMS. However, some days ago they did send SMS informing customers about not receiving Call Summary Reports. Moreover, in these days they kept sending SMS advertising their different services like 786 which were not needed when compared to this information.

I wonder, what are the factors which refrain them from sending an SMS to their customers informing about the increase in price?
