The Hub Power Company Limited (HUBCO), one of Pakistan’s largest independent power producers, has selected the Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12 to improve its overall business performance and enhance operational efficiencies.
With an aim to meet growing market demands in a cost-effective manner, the Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12 will serve as the single platform for HUBCO to consolidate all financial and operational information.
“As part of our endeavor to enhance the availability of electric power to the national grid, we were looking for cost-effective solutions that could address the growing market demand,” said Javed Mahmood, CEO, HUBCO. “We chose the Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12 over its competition because it offered us the most complete software solutions at the right price. We believe this will help us efficiently manage our financials and resources in future.”
“Like the rest of the world, the energy and power crisis poses a big challenge to Pakistan. Utility operations such as HUBCO require automated solutions that are based on best practices,” said Samina Rizwan, Regional Director for South Asia Growth Economies-West, Oracle. “We are delighted to support HUBCO’s growth through energy. With the help of Oracle, HUBCO is now able to use their information assets more effectively.”
HUBCO has purchased key modules from the Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12 including financial and inventory management, purchasing and business intelligence to address financial reporting and tax requirements, create and manage transactions as well as consolidate and report results. These capabilities enable HUBCO to achieve strong internal controls, save time and money, and deliver more reliable and accurate data.
Specifically, Oracle Daily Business Intelligence for Financials will enable HUBCO to track enterprise-wide capital investments; monitor cash flows, positions and net positions from a Web browser, as well as manage projects with crucial cost-revenue, budget and margin data.
