Haier Introduces its Android Smartphone Line up in Pakistan

Haier, a Chinese multinational consumer electronics and home appliances company, has recently launched its Android Smartphone range in Pakistan.

While we know that Haier Smartphones were already available in selected market, still we are unsure if the company has manufactured these phones in-house or they are just re-branded phones like QMobile and many others.

The Haier phone series currently has 5 smartphones, from low end to high end. All of these phones are Dual-SIM and comes with 1-year warranty of Haier Pakistan.

Haier Y716:

This is the entry level phone priced at Rs. 9,000, Y716 has a 4 inch screen with WVGA resolution. It is packed with a 1GHz dual-core processor, 512MB of RAM and 4GB Internal storage with an option to expand it via microSD card.

This phone features a 5-megapixel auto focus camera, there is no flash or secondary camera in this phone.

It is 3G supported and has Wi-Fi, Bluetooth & FM Radio.

This phone has a small 1400 mAh battery and runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.

Haier T757:

This is another low end phone but comparatively with better specifications.

T757 features a big 5-inch screen with FWVGA resolution. It is packed with a dual-core 1.3GHz processor, 512MB of RAM & 4GB internal storage with microSD card upto 32GB.

This phone is equipped with a 5-megapixel primary camera with single LED flash and a secondary VGA camera for video calling.

It is packed with a 1800mAh battery and runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.

Haier W860:

W860 is mid-range phone, priced at Rs. 16,000. It features a quad-core 1.2GHz processor but the RAM is just 512MB. It has 5-inch capacitive touch screen with a FWVGA (480×854) resolution.

This phone has a 5-megapixel camera with no LED flash and there is no secondary camera.

It is packed with a 2100mAh battery and also runs of Android Jelly Bean 4.2.

Haier P867:

This is another mid-range phone, priced at Rs. 19,500. It features a 5.5 inch screen with QHD resolution. 1.3GHz quad-core processor with 1GB of RAM and 4GB internal memory with an option to expand.

This phone (read phablet) features an 8-megapixel primary camera equipped with single LED flash and a secondary VGA camera for video calling.

It is packed with a 2050mAh battery and also runs of Android Jelly Bean 4.2.

Haier W919:

W919 is the flagship device from Haier and it is priced at Rs. 28,000.

It is phablet with 5.7-inch touchscreen with a 720p resolution.

It is packed with a quad-core 1.2GHz processor, 1GB of RAM and 8GB internal memory. This device can take microSD card up to 32GB.

The camera department boasts some crazy numbers, a 13-megapixel primary camera (dual LED) and 8-megapixel camera for selfies. Both cameras can record HD videos.

It is packed with a 2630mAh battery, which I think isn’t enough for such big screen.

The entry level phones from Haier have very poor specifications and I think that all of these devices are priced really high. Haier has good reputation when it comes to home appliances, but smartphones market is something different.

What do you think about these Android phones from Haier, do share your opinion in the comments section below.

  • ye tu washing machine banate thay…kiya iss phone se kapry b dho saktay…all phones are china made they just put logo and start selling here..They are just inspire from Qmobile way or soch ray hain iss main paisa hay buht.

    • Actually no. Haier has a bit of a history in the mobile phone industry, haven’t been very successful though. Let’s see how they’ll fare this time.

    • Samsung, LG and Sony also manufacture home appliances and they have good name in Mobile segment too. If Haier keeps the quality standards high and prices low, then they can kick out the local re-branded phones.

    • ur right ____
919 model ki price dekho 27 thousand ____ or specification dekho ___ itni specification main QMobile 10-12 thousand kay phones bana rha hai :P

  • why they have less ram and in india which brand is like qmobile so we can see the review of qmobile phones?

  • Hair in pakistan just for installment, very very cheap products no one gonna buy these 3rd class, They just make money from installment plans with very big markup

  • logooo.. koe rah to nahi gaya..
mustaqbil qareeb main Super Asia Smartphones, Lahori Smartphones, Orient Smartphones and wazirabad made smartphones etc bhi available hongy… lol

    • Go to china and contact the manufacturer of Qmobile, Voice Mobile, Vego Tel and ask them to give you the same one with your name as a mobile logo on it… you can ask for any name…

      BILAL Mobile..

and then contact Kareen Kapoor for Marketing.. I Bilal B4 do you!!!!!

Just marketing game.. Quality is sleeping at home…

      • ha ha ha… totally agreeed… this is what i meant to say… manufacturing got easy but quality went away….

      • dear qmobile is pakistani company …zeshan akhter is the chairman of qmobile.
Actually qmobile is the part of Allied Electronics ltd. karachi pakistan.
so proud to ur pakistani company.

        • Yes we are of Pakistanis Mr. Zeeshan Pervais Akhtar (studied in USA; The mastermind behind the success of Q Mobile; the youngest entrepreneur in Pakistan’s mobile phone industry) & Mr. Muhammad Azhar Naeem… But by hiring Pakistani (have 1 or 2 immigration as well) as chairman and other Pakistani’s as a staff really not make qmobile illegible as a Pakistani company.

          Think About:

          – Q Mobile Investment?
          – Q Mobile Manufacturing of phones?

          – Q Mobile Marketing team?
          – Q Mobile Ads Makers?
          – Q mobile Ads Actors?

Same is doing by Huawei, Can u call Huawei a Pakistani company?

      • Huawei is a very standard company with
very rich chip manufacturing experience from 1987..Serving more than 46
countries in telecommunication industry. apprx. 140,000 employees
and most surprisingly had overtook Ericsson 1st position in 2012. It has 20 R&D institutes
in countries including China, the United States, Pakistan, Germany, Colombia,Sweden, Ireland, India, Russia, and Turkey and in 2011 invested around US$3.74 billion in R&D. It currently serves 45 of the world’s 50 largest telecoms operators
worldwide. You know Huawei Device announced former head of Nokia Colin Giles
joined the company as Executive Vice President of Consumer Business?.

  • The likes of QMobile are eunuchs of smartphone industry. Their phones are merely vibrators. Besides, they are cheap+cheap which means low quality as well as low cost.

  • I think it’s a nice decision to enter into mobile phone market at the right time, as 3G and 4G are at the doorstep and sooner or later whole 100 million cellular subscribers in Pakistan will be on 3G / smartphones. So instead of wasting our money on handsets of samsung and apple it’s much needed time to focus on Pakistan made items…!!

  • agr ye market me ana chahta hain to Samsung, HTC, Sony walo ko kon puch ga inka kya hoga… kabhi socha hai Haier walo chale jao ulte pair or band karo apna ye dhong or jene do Qmobile walo ko mein ho Nokia “kanectink piple” :P :D

  • Its really good to know. Haier will give hard time to other cell phone menufecturing companies

  • These are too expensive here as compared to China. So obviously they won’t gain any customers here. Just compare the price with the one on taobao
