While using the Telenor 3G, Youtube opens without any VPN or Proxy. By the way, VPN was banned by PTA? You have to take permission from the PTA before using a VPN??

using vpn means your isp doesn’t know what you doing and terrorists and criminals can use vpn services and by law one can use only after permission from pta where you explain the purpose.

If one thing is illegal, it will be illegal either you are being seen or not.
It’s an easy task for the government in order to track the traffic that is being run by a VPN especially when you have packet inspection it looks INSIDE every packet and can determine what kind of traffic it is. systems which they have. Most VPN traffic is very easy to detect. Same way as illegal telephone exchange traffic is easy to detect.

but if u use modified openvpn it can mask it as show as normal traffic.
Aahhhmmn….. i know YouTube is blocked in our country and we can’t normally open the site from any laptop/pc but i have Galaxy s3 and Galaxy S6, when I’m connected to my wifi i can easily watch videos on my S3 via YouTube android app, but can’t watch on my s6 :-/ i don’t know the difference :(

Yes i use same network on both devices…. Vpns are bit slow… but after the YouTube update on my s6 i an search and see videos but when i try to play it says Connecting timeout
i think the youtube app on old mobiles connect to different IP/URLs therefore it is not blocked

You people should put an article on VPN comparisons, instead of just featuring Hotspot Sheild. There are better/cheaper alternatives than Hotspot. There are VPNs specially optimized/dedicated for Pakistan such as TunnelPK(www.tunnelpk.com) and they accept payment via local payment methods such as bank transfer and easypaisa.
I had Hotspot Sheild Elite for a year, but it won’t open https sites properly, I made complaint on help desk but I was told that this is because Hotspot doesnt work properly in Pakistan
