COMSTECH will host the first ever Organization of Islamic Cooperation Summit on Science and Technology in November and preparations are in full swing in this regard.
Coordinator General COMSTECH,Dr Shaukat Hameed Khan while talking to APP said that he has discussed the participation of Heads of States with the respective envoys of those countries in Islamabad to participate in the event.
He said the OIC Standing Committee on Science and Technology has prepared a major document for 57-member countries elaborating programmes and priority areas in science and technology as well as joint programmes for next 10 years.
They were encouraged to participate and share not only funds for future research but also for exchange of manpower, technology and institutional facilities, he added.
