Pakistan’s well established news outlets continue to fail in differentiating between real and fake Twitter accounts. Daily Dunya Newspaper, Daily Express Newspaper, Express News website and The News website have quoted popular Indian actress, Rani Mukherji’s, fake Twitter account.
Amateur journalists, unaware of how Twitter works, have quoted the fake account’s tweets multiple times over the past three months. Every time the fake account tweets something controversial, Pakistani news outlets cover it as a news story.
This Actually Went to Print:
Print paper covered the news

All major newspapers have covered multiple tweets on different topics.
The fake account holder even trolled Express News over the recent coverage related to the tweet about Modi.

Indian news agency IANS quoted Rani’s Mukerji manager as saying, “Rani Mukerji is not on any social media platform and has never been in the past. There are several imposters who are operating various handles in her name so, we request you to disregard the same.” Source: THE EXPRESS TRIBUNE
0h Bhai yeh kia dramay lagay huwey hain yahan? kabhi Nargis Fakhiri, Kabhi Qandeel Baloch tou kabhi Rani Mukherji chal rahi hai? yeh I.T. blog hai ya Ran** Khana? band karo yeh sub.
Aare sir thats how our media works, they don’t care khabar kahan se aarahi hai as long as khabar aarahi hai.
Humari media tu social media se videos chala kar khabar bana deti hai aur shuro main teaser headline main aise chalati hai jaise in logon ne koi buhat khabar nikal li ho and in the end wohi social media ki ghisi pitti video chala dete hain loop main ek do bar.
what about propakistani who take bribe from cheezmall and post fake advertisement about them ???
This is why we can’t have good things in Pakistan. There is always some stupid who will criticize you for no reason.
Good Reply
How much you getting paid from cheezmall
Its neither my fault nor ProPakistani’s that they haven’t brought Xiaomi phones yet. Cry at Cheezmall’s site for making fake promises.
Its not your fault but all cheezmall all claims advertised on propakistani proved false
so why not we should blame them ???
Yea, let’s blame all the journalist who have covered rumors and news that never turned out to be true.
Journalists are supposed to cover the news and rumors, they are NOT obliged to make them true. How hard is it to understand?
Can you please lets us know where in the rest of Pakistan so many false claims has been posted other than Propakistani ???
Whole world is crying its owned by some immature guy and read topics about CM on PP

You will see more comments about Xiaomi and Cheezmall here, the material posted above doesn’t seem to be much relevant for the folks.
FARHAN VIRK CONTINUES HIS SUPERB SPELL OF TWITTER SCAMS.. :D
They lack common sense. Just small-minded, sub-human [REMOVED WORD] journalists. They can never improve.
Anyone these days who can write two words in English on a phone thinks he/she can be a journalist, photographer, religious scholar, scientist, philosopher, commentator and the best publisher of “Totkaas”. And unfortunately this disease of unprofessionalism has spread like cancer into every nook and corner of our society.
Who cares about indian actress? Be pakistanis
Authorities should take action against them.
