On Saturday, 11th June, between the hours of 11 AM and 5 PM, Uber will collect items you wish to donate (clothes, books and toys) – free of charge – and deliver them to SOS Children’s Village in Lahore for further distribution to their childrens’ homes all over Punjab. The donation will be collected, cleaned and will be directly sent to use by the many deserving children being raised in SOS Children’s Villages all over the country.
How Does it Work?
- Open the Uber app at any time during the initiative and swipe the slider to ‘UberGIVE’
- Request a car – completely free of charge – to pick up your donations within minutes
- Donations will be delivered to SOS Children’s Village in Lahore to be sorted
Uber is accepting all unwanted clothes (in wearable condition), books, and toys from citizens of Lahore. Please make sure that everything that you want collected is placed together in bags, it will make it much easier for Uber as well as the teams at the collection points to get your donations to where they’re most needed.
With the rise of ride-sharing services, we’re all becoming used to transportation at the push of a button. Now, you can do our part alongside Uber to help children in desperate need.
