Dual-rear cameras are the name of the game now. Huawei, one of the patrons of the idea, is back and bringing the technology to a much cheaper phone, this time the new Honor 6X.
The phone comes with a 5.5-inch display on the front, with 1920 x 1080 resolution. It is a 2.5D scratch resistant glass panel. The design is a metallic unibody, which places a fast 0.3s fingerprint sensor on the back.
Under the hood is Huawei’s home-baked Kirin 655 processor, with either 3 or 4 GB LPDDR3 RAM and 32 or 64 GB of storage. The OS it runs is the aging Android 6.0 Marshmallow with EMUI 4.0 on top of it.
But the highlight of the package will be the two-camera system on the back. A primary 12 MP camera is followed by a 2 MP one, for adding depth or blurring backgrounds. The front has an 8 MP shooter, too.
Connectivity options include VoLTE, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and GPS. Battery capacity is set at 3340 mAh and supports fast-charging.
Pricing is set at $150 for the 32 GB version with 3 GB RAM, $190 for upgrading the latter to 4 GB RAM, or $240 for 4 GB RAM/64 GB storage variant.
