UBL has contracted Access Group for the provision of DigitalPass — POS terminals — to enhance its market outreach across Pakistan.
DigitalPass, a part of Access Group, is Pakistan’s largest third-party POS Network and has presence in more than 200 towns and cities nationwide across diverse merchant locations.
Under this arrangement, Access Group will provide POS terminals to UBL which will substantially increase the footprint of UBL’s Acquiring business. This will enable UBL to grow its market penetration by expanding the reach of its POS terminal based Acquiring Network.
UBL is one of Pakistan’s largest banks in the private sector. The bank operates a network of over 1,350 branches across Pakistan and 18 branches overseas.
With a customer base of over 4 million, UBL leads the banking and financial services sector in Pakistan.
UBL is among the pioneers of Acquiring services in Pakistan and has played a pivotal role in enabling retail payment acceptance services in the country. Access Group has been providing services to UBL’s Acquiring Network since 2007.
