Pakistan Railways has revised the fares of different trains plying across the country.
According to spokesperson of Pakistan Railways, the fares of 23 trains have been reduced from 10 to 21 percent while fares of 11 trains have been increased from 5 to 10 percent. Decision on fare increase by 10 percent for Pakistan Express deferred till April 25.
The new fares will come into effect from the 15th of March, 2017.
Fare of Green Line AC Business from Islamabad to Karachi has been increased to Rs. 5990 while fare for Lahore to Islamabad would be Rs. 5450.
Karakuram Express fare from Lahore to Karachi AC Business will be Rs. 4,950 and Rs. 1650 for economy class.
Fare for Karachi Express and Business Express from Lahore to Karachi AC Business will be Rs. 4,410, AC standard fare will be Rs 3,100 and economy class will be Rs 1470.
According to details fare for Lahore Green for Rawalpindi from Lahore has been reduced by 21 percent i.e. from Rs 1,510 to Rs 1,200.
Fares for Branch Lines have been reduced by 10 percent. Fare for Tezgam, Khyber Mail Awam, Awam Express and Jaffar Express made equal to that of Rail Car.

It’s Lahore to Karachi Rs 5450 not Lahore to Islamabad.
i am unable to understand why there is decrease in 21 % from Lahore to Rawalpindi while all other fares increases ??
